30.10.79 BUILT 1960 BY ORENSTEIN-KOPPEL & LUBECKER MASCH., LUBECK. ON PASSAGE ROUMANIA TO ANTWERP, IN COLLISION WITH GREEK MV EMPROS IN FRONT OF ENTRANCE TO VAN CAUWELAERT LOCK. VESSEL WAS BEACHED WITH HELP OF 6 TUGS AT KETELPLAAT WHERE SHE SETTLED INTO THE MUD. DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS WHEN SALVAGE ATTEMPTS FAILED. EVENTUALLY CUT UP & REMOVED. (LL, 30.10.79 & MSD)
