OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY DEUTSCHE OST AFRIKA LINIE, EMPLOYED ON ZANIBAR TO BOMBAY RUN. VESSEL WAS LAID UP AT TANGA. CAUGHT FIRE & CAPSIZED AFTER GUNFIRE FROM HMS SEVERN ON 19.8.1915. SALVAGE OPS BY ITALIAN SALVAGE COMPANY MAWA HANDELS ANSTALT TOOK PLACE IN MID 1950S. (SHIPWRECKS & SALVAGE ON THE E AFRICAN COAST, KEVIN PATIENCE)
