SITS UPRIGHT ON SANDY BOTTOM IN GEN DEPTH 18MTRS. LIES 095/275DEGS. COMES WITHIN 5MTRS OF THE SURFACE AND IS CONSIDERED DANGEROUS TO NAVIGATION. POSSIBLY THE 'NIKKO MARU'. VESSEL APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN OF BRITISH ORIGIN, BUT VARIOUS SMALL ARTEFACTS RECOVERED INDICATE THAT IT WAS JAPANESE MANNED, I.E. BOTTLES OF JAPANESE ORIGIN, BEER AND SAKI. CONSIDERED TO BE THE CHARTED ST CLOSE BY. (V SKOGLIE, FAX DTD 22.3.98). AS NO SHIFTS FROM WGD ARE AVAILABLE, INS AS WK 4MTRS PA - NM 1761/98.
