20.7.1901 BUILT 1901 BY D & W HENDERSON & CO., WITH 3 CYLINDER TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINES OF 417NHP. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ANCHOR LINE (HENDERSON BROS). PASSAGE THE CLYDE FOR CALCUTTA. RAN HARD AGROUND ON THE BROTHERS, RED SEA. AFTER 7 WEEKS SALVAGING THE GARGO VESSEL SLID OFF ROCKS AND SANK. (DODS & WRECKSITE.EU [SINKING DATE GIVEN AS 20.7.1901])
