Circumstances of loss
VESSEL, BUILT IN 1923 BY CHANTIERS & ATELIERS DE ST NAZAIRE AND OWNED AT THE TIME OF LOSS BY CONSTANTS (SOUTH WALES) WAS WRECKED ON THE MANACLES ROCKS WHILST EN-ROUTE FROM BILBAO, VIA FALMOUTH, TO PORT TALBOT. HAD STEERING GEAR DAMAGE IN BAD WEATHER AND WAS TOWED TO FALMOUTH FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS. WENT ASHORE AT LOWLAND POINT SOON AFTER SAILING AFTER COMPLETION OF REPAIRS. (CORNISH SHIPWRECKS, VOL.II).
