VESSEL, BUILT 1953 BY WM. DENNY & BROS., LTD.. OWNED AT THE TIME BY EDDIE STEAMSHIPS CO., LTD.. ON PASSAGE FROM BREMEN TO KAOHSIUNG. WAS DAMAGED IN A COLLISION WITH W GERMAN MV 'TIGER' ABOUT 8M SE OF EUROPA POINT, GIBRALTAR. WAS TAKEN IN TOW BY BRITISH M TANKER 'BRITISH CHANCELLOR' AND, AFTER TOW PARTED, BY THE TUG 'CONFIDENT'. EVENTUALLY SANK SOME 6 HOURS AFTER THE COLLISION. ALL CREW SAFE. (LL, AUG 1966; & MSD).
