PASSAGE HULL FOR ALEXANDRIA. CARGO COAL AND GENERAL. WAS TORPEDOED AND SUNK BY UB-57 AND SANK IN 8 MINUTES. OF THE CREW OF 33, 3 WERE LOST. OBERLIEUTENANT JOHANN LORS NOTED IN HIS LOG: 'IN ADMIRALTY SERVICE WITH A CARGO OF MINES FOR THE MEDITERRANEAN'.
