BUILT IN 1919 BY SWAN HUNTER & WIGHAM RICHARDSON LTD, SUNDERLAND. ORIGINALLY LAID DOWN AS 'WAR HUMBER', A COASTAL STANDARD SHIP, BUT COMPLETED AS 'POLO'. VESSEL WAS AFIRE IN BOUGIE HARBOUR (BEJAIA) & WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SUNK BY GUNFIRE. (BRITISH STANDARD SHIPS WWI VOL.3).
