NCA. 2.8.85 AFTER MUCH LEGISLATION, THE COURTS RULED THAT THE VESSEL SANK AS THE RESULT OF A COLLISION WITH A PASSING SUBMARINE. (LL 515 REVIEW, JULY 1985). NCA, TOO DEEP TO CHART.

BUILT IN 1952 BY MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENGINEERING CO LTD. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY RHESA SHIPPING CO. PASSAGE ROUEN FOR HODEIDAH. ABANDONED BY HER CREW DUE TO ENGINE-ROOM FLOODING, WHEN N OF BEJAIA, ALGERIA. SHE WAS TAKEN IN TOW BY THE BRITISH TANKER `GLOBTIK VENUS', BUT SANK LATER THE SAME DAY. AFTER MUCH LEGISLATION, THE COURTS RULED THAT THE VESSEL SANK AS THE RESULT OF A COLLISION WITH A PASSING SUBMARINE. (MSD & LL 515 REVIEW, JULY 1985).
