BUILT IN 1898 BY W GREY & CO, WEST HARTLEPOOL. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY RAMON DE LA SOTA, BILBAO. ONE BOILER, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. MACHINERY BY CENTRAL MARINE ENGINE WORKS LTD, SUNDERLAND. PASSAGE BILBAO FOR THE TYNE. STRUCK THE WHITE STONES, 1.9 MILES SSE OF SUNDERLAND N PIER LT. WAS REFLOATED THE FOLLOWING TIDE AND ATTEMPTED TO RESUME PASSAGE BUT FOUNDERED SHORTLY AFTER. (R YOUNG).
