BUILT IN 1944 BY BARCLAY, CURLE & CO LTD, GLASGOW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY DEVELOPMENT NAV CO LTD. PASSAGE KAOSHING FOR SAIGON. HAD AN ENGINE-ROOM FIRE AND WAS ABANDONED. CREW RESCUED. LATER TAKEN IN TOW BY TUG 'ELBE' BUT THE GUTTED VESSEL SANK TWO DAYS AFTER. (MSD).
