BADLY DAMAGED SHE STEAMED BACK INTO CASABLANCA ONLY TIO BE HIT BY BOMBS FROM US CARRIER RANGER'S AIRCRAFT. VESSEL WAS FORCED TO BEACH. 35 OF 578 COMPLEMENT LOST.
