STRUCK A SUBMERGED OBJECT 1.1.66 BETWEEN RHODES ISLAND AND CRETE WHILE ON PASSAGE GOCEK, TURKEY, FOR BALTIMORE. SERIOUS LEAKAGE DEVELOPED AND VESSEL WAS TAKEN IN TOW AND BEACHED AT AGHIOS MINAS ON W SIDE OF RHODES ISLAND. EVENTUALLY BECAME TOTAL LOSS.
