BUILT IN 1906 BY HARLAND & WOLFF, BELFAST. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY BRITISH INDIA STEAN NAVIGATION CO. 6 BOILERS, QUADRUPLE EXPANSION ENGINES, TWIN SHAFT. PASSAGE LEITH FOR DUNKIRK TO PICK UP TROOPS WOUNDED ON WESTERN FRONT. BROKE HER BACK WHILST LYING OFF THE OUTER EDGE OF THE SCAR IN A SEVERE GALE. 90 LIVES LOST OF 229 ON BOARD. (SIBI).
