BUILT 1944 BY HIGGINS INDUSTRIES, INC, NEW ORLEANS. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY COMPANIA MARITIMA. PASSAGE MANILA FOR CATBALOGAN, TACLOBAN & NASIPIT. CAUGHT FIRE & WAS DIVERTED TO SILONAY ISLAND. HOWEVER, WHEN 2M FROM THE ISLAND, THE ENGINE BROKE DOWN. THE VESSEL DRIFTED & TOUCHED BOTTOM IN 132648N, 1211302E. SUBSEQUENTLY ABANDONED BY CREW & PASSENGERS, THE VESSEL CONTINUED TO BLAZE UNTIL CAPSIZING THE FOLLOWING DAY. WRECK DECLARED CTL. (MSD).
