WRECK NOW REPORTED FURTHER CAPSIZED INTO DEEPER WATER WITH HULL STILL PARTIALLY VISIBLE AT LOW TIDE. ATTEMPTS BY OWNERS TO SELL VESSEL 'AS IS, WHERE SHE LIES'. (LL 218). NCA. BUILT 1944 BY HIGGINS INDUSTRIES, INC, NEW ORLEANS. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY COMPANIA MARITIMA. PASSAGE MANILA FOR CATBALOGAN, TACLOBAN & NASIPIT. CAUGHT FIRE & WAS DIVERTED TO SILONAY ISLAND. HOWEVER, WHEN 2M FROM THE ISLAND, THE ENGINE BROKE DOWN. THE VESSEL DRIFTED & TOUCHED BOTTOM IN 132648N, 1211302E. SUBSEQUENTLY ABANDONED BY CREW & PASSENGERS, THE VESSEL CONTINUED TO BLAZE UNTIL CAPSIZING THE FOLLOWING DAY. WRECK DECLARED CTL. (MSD).
