H2446/80 6.5.87 STRONG SONAR CONTACT IN 515514N, 013100E, APPARENTLY FROM THIS BUOY. SONAR HT 2.89MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 8.9MTRS [LAT]. LOCAL PILOTS HAVE BEEN INFORMED. AN EARLY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE TO RECOVER IT. (TH HARWICH, 6.5.87). COULD NOT BE FOUND DURING ATTEMPT TO REMOVE BUOY. FURTHER ATTEMPTS WILL BE MADE. A LOCAL FISHERMAN HAS REPORTED FOULING HIS NETS IN THE VICINITY. NCA FOR THE MOMENT. (CDR FAIRPLAY, HARWICH, TELECON). NCA.
