BUILT IN 1972 BY HELLENIC SHIPYARDS, SKARAMANGA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY SALLY SHIPPING LTD, SA. PASSAGE INCHCON FOR INDIA WITH CARGO OF 12667 TONS REFINED WHITE SUGAR IN BAGS. REPORTED UNCONTROLLABLE FIRE IN ENGINE ROOM. WAS ANCHORED AND THEN ABANDONED BY CREW AND BURNED OUT. STRUCK WHILE AT ANCHOR BY CHINESE MV 'WU MEN' AND SANK 10 MINUTES LATER. (MSD).
