BUILT IN 1976 BY KOYO DOCHYARD CO LTD, MIHARA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY SEIRKI KESEN KK. PASSAGE WAKAYAMA FOR HOUSTON. COLLIDED WITH BRITISH RO/RO STENA FREIGHTER. WITH THE BOW OF STENA FREIGHTER EMBEDDED IN THE STBD SIDE THE CREW DECIDED TO BOARD THE OTHER VESSEL. WHEN THE VESSELS WERE SEPARATED BY A COASTGUARD VESSEL SEIRYU SANK. NO LIVES LOST. (MSD).
