Circumstances of loss

CAPSIZED AND SUNK 25 MILE E OF KISH LTHO. SKIPPER REPORTED BEING DRAGGED FOR TWO MILES AT HIGH SPEED WHEN NETS BECAME ENTANGLED WITH A MYSTERY OBJECT, BELIEVED TO BE A SUBMARINE. THE CREW WERE RESCUED FROM WATER BY OTHER TRAWLERS IN THE AREA. THE NETS WERE RECOVERED BY AN IRISH NAVAL VESSEL 20 MILES OFF CO DUBLIN.
