VESSEL, WHILST EN-ROUTE LISBON FOR BELFAST WAS ATTACKED AND SUNK BY AIRCRAFT WHEN 2.5M WNW OF CAPE ST. VINCENT. OF THE 28 CREW AND 6 GUNNERS, 4 CREW WERE LOST. CARGO INCLUDED: 1539T POTASH, 190T CORK, 102T SARDINES, 45T WOLFRAM & 10T ANTIMONY. (LLOYDS WAR LOSSES WWII).
