(HMS HECATE, HN 1.11.87). - NM 29/88. HH100/351/05 6.2.92 THOUGHT POSSIBLY TO BE WK OF SS MANCHESTER. (A CORKILL, 2.2.92). HH100/351/11 13.2.96 DIVED IN 8.95 AND LOCATED IN THE CHARTED POSN. LEAST DEPTH CONFIRMED. A VERY LARGE, BROKEN UP WRECK WITH SUBSTANTIAL PARTS STILL STANDING. AFTER CONSULTATIONS WITH A CORKILL, THIS IS PROBABLY THE SKERRIES. APPEARS TO BE AT LEAST 300FT LONG AND HAS A BEAM OF 60FT. (K HURLEY). HH090/705/01 12.6.96 EXAM'D 29.3.96 IN 535111.1N, 042143.8W [WGD] USING DGPS. LEAST E/S DEPTH 43.9 IN GEN DEPTH 53MTRS. NO SCOUR. BR STD. 21.10.96 FOUND TO BE FAIRLY WELL INTACT, UPRIGHT BUT THE SUPERSTRUCTURE HAS COLLAPSED. THE HOLDS ARE EMPTY APART FROM A SPARE PROPELLER. (J SHAW 10.10.96).
