OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY THE SAINT LINE. PASSAGE CALCUTTA FOR HULL. SUNK BY TORPEDO AND GUNFIRE FROM GERMAN SUBMARINE U66 ABOUT 400M SW OF MADEIRA. 34 CREW WERE LOST.
