2.4.89 BUILT IN 1965. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY POLSKIE LINIE OCEANICZNE. PASSAGE GDANSK FOR SURABAYA. CARGO CARBIDE IN DRUMS. WAS BADLY DAMAGED DURING A COLLISION IN DENSE FOG WITH SUDANESE MV 'OMDURMAN' OFF TEXEL ON 2.4.89. VESSEL WAS TAKEN IN TOW BUT REFUSED ENTRY INTO DUTCH HARBOURS BECAUSE OF ACETYLENE GAS BEING GIVEN OFF BY CARGO. WAS FINALLY TOWED TO BOTNEY CUT & SUNK BY DUTCH FRIGATE 'CALLENBURGH'.
