Circumstances of loss

ORIGINAL PASSAGE FOR ERITREA. WAS CAPTURED BY PIRATES AND HELD FOR 10 MONTHS. VESSEL WAS STRIPPED AND VIRTUALLY ALL FUEL REMOVED PRIOR TO RELEASE. FOLLOWING RELEASE WAS AGAIN ATTACKED BY PIRATES WHILE ON PASSAGE FOR SALALAH. THE PRIATES WERE REPULSED. RAN OUT OF FUEL AND TUG SENT FROM PORT SALALAH WAS DELAYED BY TECHICAL PROBLEMS. CREW ABANDONED TO PAKISTANI NAVAL VESSEL AND SHIP SANK 6 HOURS LATER IN 7MTR WAVES.
