BUILT IN 1887 BY A & J INGLIS, GLASGOW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY CARRON CO. TWO BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 316 NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE LONDON FOR LEITH. TORPEDOED BY UC 17. TWO EXPLOSIONS OCCURRED AFT AND THE STERN WAS BLOWN OFF. THE SHIP SANK SOME 7 MINUTES LATER. 4 MEN LOST. (SIBI).
