25.06.82 VESSEL, BUILT 1967 BY SCHIFFSWERFT 'NEPTUN', ROSTOCK. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MARIO SORRENTINI. ON PASSAGE FROM BARLETTA TO MOSTAGANEM. IN COLLISION WITH A LARGE UNIDENTIFIED VESSEL ABOUT 10M E OF CAP BOUGARONI, ALGERIA ON 25.06.82. WITH FOREPART HEAVILY DAMAGED SHE WAS TOWED TO SKIKDA BUT ORDERED OUT OF PORT BY AUTHORITIES ON 6.07.82. WHILST IN TOW FROM TUG 'JUMBO PRIMO' SHE CAPSIZED OFF ILE DE LA GALITE ON 7.07.82. EVENTUALLY SINKING 10 DAYS LATER. (MSD).
