BUILT IN 1920 BY J READHEAD & SONS LTD, SOUTH SHIELDS. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY HAIN SS CO LTD. THREE BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 425NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE LONDON FOR PHILADELPHIA. IN BALLAST. ATTACKED BY GERMAN AIRCRAFT WITH BOMBS AND MACHINE GUNS. CREW ABANDONED AND THE VESSEL DRIFTED ASHORE. SANK THE FOLLOWING DAY AFTER BREAKING IN HALF. (SIBI).
