CUNARD LINER, BUILT 1861. ON PASSAGE FROM LIVERPOOL FOR BOSTON. STRUCK SOUTH ROCK REEF, APPROX 0.5M SW OF TUSKAR LTHO IN FOG. VESSEL WAS TRAVELLING AT FULL SPEED WITH 2 PILOTS ON BOARD. ABANDONED. 328 PASSENGERS ON BOARD, NO LIVES LOST. (SHIPWRECKS OF THE IRISH COAST, & WRECK & RESCUE ON THE EAST COAST OF IRELAND)
