11.1.83 BUILT IN 1966 BY TSUNEISHI ZOSEN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY BULKER MARITIME CO. ON PASSAGE FROM VALENCIA FOR KUWAIT. CARGO SPANISH TILES. HAD A FIRE BREAK OUT IN ENGINE ROOM & ACCOMMODATION WHILE ABOUT 80M SSE OF CRETE. BLAZING VESSEL WAS TOWED TO KALILIMENES WHERE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. TOWED TO PIRAEUS ON 11.1.83 IN BADLY DAMAGED CONDITION, WHERE ENGINE-ROOM FLOODED. REMAINED AT ANCHOR OFF PIRAEUS UNTIL 19.9.83 WHEN STRUCK BY GERMAN MV 'STEINHOFT' & SANK. ALL CREW SAFE. (MSD).
