HH100/350/20 5.9.03 POSN GIVEN AS 5340.850N, 0048.651E [WGD]. VESSEL WAS LARGELY INTACT WHEN BELL RECOVERED IN 1992. AT THAT TIME THE WHEELHOUSE WAS DOWN. WINCH IN PLACE IN FRONT OF WHEELHOUSE. SANK FOLLOWING A COLLISION WITH BRITISH SS EMPIRE RAPIER (7177 TONS). SANK WITHIN 10 MINUTES. CREW RECOVERED.
