BR STD. 22.4.70 IT IS REPORTED THAT THE VESSEL BAYAWAHHA [1121TONS NET, 1159TONS GROSS, BUILT IN 1911] WAS SUNK ON 31.12.16 ON ROUTE PLYMOUTH TO DARTMOUTH WITH CARGO OF WHEAT AND LIES CLOSE NW TO THIS WRECK. (REPORT BY MR ROUNDTREE ON VISIT TO DEPT ON 22.4.70). 22.4.70 LLOYDS CANNOT TRACE THE BAYAWAHHA. (TELECOM LLOYDS, 22.4.70). H4267/70 24.8.70 REPORT STATES THAT AN EXTENSIVE SEARCH OVER ABOVE POSN REVEALED ONLY A STEEP LEDGE AND SUGGESTS THAT THE WRECK IN THIS POSN AS CHARTED IS THE BAYAWAHHA [SEE WK 18112] OF 1150TONS LOST IN DEC 1916 AND ALSO THAT THE LIGHTER MAY LIE IN THE SPOIL GROUND SW.
