5.4.82 VESSEL, BUILT 1971, SANK AFTER CARGO SHIFTED IN VERY HEAVY WEATHER CONDITIONS WHILE ON PASSAGE FROM FERROL FOR CASABLANCA. 8 OF THE 18 CREW WERE RESCUED BY RN HELICOPTERS FROM HM SUPPORT SHIP 'ENGADINE', ON ITS WAY TO THE FALKLAND WAR, & MV SKANLITH. OWNED AT THE TIME OF LOSS BY UNION MARITIME & MINIERE. (MSD & LL 5.4.82).
