BUILT IN 1903 AT NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY A SPANISH COMPANY. BUILT TO CARRY PASSENGERS AND CARGO. TWO BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. RAN AGROUND IN POOR WEATHER. PASSAGE ALGEIRS, VIA BILBAO, TO THE TYNE. CREW RECOVERED.
