EX-WHARFDALE '08, EX-ALANGUETA '03, EX-NERANO '91. BUILT IN 1891 BY SHORT BROS, SUNDERLAND. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ELLERMAN LINES. TWO BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 266NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE LONDON FOR GLASGOW AND THE FAR EAST. FOUNDERED FOLLOWING COLLISION WITH SS ARYSHIRE IN THICK FOG. WAS STRUCK IN STBD SIDE JUST FWD OF THE MAST AND SANK QUICKLY. 15 MEN LOST. (SIBI).
