BUILT 1925 BY GREENOCK DOCKYARD CO., WITH TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINES OF 461NHP. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ARLON S.S. CO. (J GERMAN & CO.) BOMBED AND SET ON FIRE AT VALENCIA BY INSURGENT AIRCRAFT DURING SPANISH CIVIL WAR. VESSEL WAS SO BADLY DAMAGED SHE WAS UNTIMATELY TOWED OUT TO SEA AND SUNK. (DODS)
