H4632/71 15.8.72 FIXED IN 573617N, 033000W [OGB] USING BEARINGS FROM SEAWARD. (HMS SCARBOROUGH, HN DTD 1.7.72). INS AS ST. - NM 1590/72. H4811/75 17.5.77 LOCATED ON 9.7.76 & EXAMINED VISUALLY. FIXED AS BELOW RUINED TOWER 3 CABLES NE OF THURSO CASTLE. TWO TRAWLERS WENT AGROUND, ONE WAS REFLOATED & SALVAGED. THE OTHER IS NOW A RUSTED HULK OF NO SCRAP VALUE & ONLY HALF HULL REMAINS. EST LIFE 10YRS. (HMS HERALD. HI 13B/76).
