H4811/75 16.5.77 LOCATED 7.7.76 IN 583632.4N, 032527.0W USING HSA. LEAST DEPTH BY LEAD LINE 3.2 MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 5MTRS. SEABED IS ROCK. WRECK JUST VISIBLE AT LOW WATER AT A DEPTH OF ABOUT 10FEET. ONLY THE BOILER CASING REMAINS. THE WOODEN HULL IS TORN OPEN. SOUNDING LEAD LOWERED ONTO HIGHEST PART OF WRECK AND LEAST DEPTH OBTAINED. CASING IS HEAVILY WEED COVERED AND DIFFICULT TO FIND WITHOUT LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. (HMS HERALD, HI 13B/76). INS AS WK 3.2MTRS. BR STD.
