STEAM COMPOUND ENGINE. IRON BUILT. (A C JACKSON/C A RACEY). HH100/351/17 25.4.01 FIRST DIVED IN 1994. AFT ENGINED WITH TWO SMALL SCOTCH BOILERS. MIXED CARGO, MAINLY CLAY PIPES BUT SMALL PART OF THE CARGO IN FWD HOLD WAS MADE UP OF COPPER INGOTS SHAPED LIKE PAVING SLABS. STEERING ENGINE BLOCK LOCATED JUST BEHIND FORCASTLE SUGGESTS THAT THE BRIDGE WAS MIDSHIPS. IDENTITY CONFIRMED BY A PIECE OF CROCKERY BEARING THE SHIPPING CO FLAG AND THE LETTERS 'TSSC' (TYNE SS CO). TELEGRAPH RECOVERED FROM PORT SIDE OF THE ENGINE. (A C JACKSON/C A RACEY). NCA. SEP 2017/000002822 5.5.17 EXAM'D 15.12.16 IN 5437.459N, 0044.357W [WGD].
