3.10.09 EX-EDENBALLYMORE. BUILT IN 1890 BY RUSSELL & CO., PORT GLASGOW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY S.EDENMORE, CO. LTD. AFTER LOADING A GENERAL CARGO, WHICH INCLUDED MACHINERY, FURNITURE, CHEMICALS AND PIANOS, LEFT HAMBURG PASSAGE FOR SYDNEY, NSW, ON 3.10.09. STRUCK ROCKS TO THE E OF PAPA STRONSAY, ORKNEY ISLANDS AND SANK. CREW OF 25 RESCUED. (SIBI). PHOTO OF STRANDED VESSEL. (OFF SCOTLAND). 5.12.1909 RAN AGROUND ON THE ROAN, SE POINT OF PAPA STRONSAY. IN 3 WEEKS FOLLOWING STRANDING 23 PIANOS, 23,000 SLATES AND CHINAWARE WERE RECOVERED. THE EDENMORE WAS COMPLETELY BROKEN UP IN A GALE ON 5.12.1909. PHOTO OF STRANDED VESSEL.
