BUILT OF IRON IN 1883 BY HALL, RUSSEL & CO, ABERDEEN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY THE SCOTLAND, ORKNEY, SHETLAND SS CO. TWO BOILERS, COMPOUND EXPANSION ENGINE OF 279 HP, SINGLE SHAFT. DROVE ASHORE AT FULL SPEED IN FOG. SIXTY EIGHT PASSENGERS LANDED ON STRONSAY, BUT ALMOST ALL MAIL AND CARGO LOST.
