18.4.1918 BUILT IN 1914 BY MACKAY BROTHERS LTD, ALLOA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY BRITISH TANKER CO LTD. TWO BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 401NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. MACHINERY AFT BY THE NE MARINE ENG. CO. LTD, SUNDERLAND. PASSAGE PHILADELPHIA FOR LIMERICK. HAVING PREVIOUSLY SURVIVED A BEING STRUCK BY A TORPEDO ON 18.4.1918, WHICH FAILED TO DETONATE, WAS TORPEDOED BY UB-123. CAUGHT FIRE AND SANK. 11 MEN LOST. (SII).
