H4288/81 15.9.81 AGROUND ON REEF IN 180300N, 405000E, APPROX. CURRENTLY RADAR CONSPIC AT RANGE OF 20 MILES. (MV BAHRAH, HN 22.8.81). WK NOT FOUND BY SALVAGE TUG SALVICEROY ON 23.8.91. DIVERS LOCATED WK NEXT DAY LYING ON PORT SIDE ON EDGE OF REEF WITH STBD BOW 1MTR BELOW THE SURFACE. WK LIES AT AN EXTREMELY STEEP ANGLE UNDER WATER AND IS BELIEVED TO BE SLIDING INTO DEEP WATER NEARBY. SALVAGE NOT FEASIBLE. (LL 26.8.81). NCA.

BUILT IN 1962 BY BRODOGRADILISTE 'III MAJ', RIJEKA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ARGINUSE MARITIME CO. PASSAGE ANTWERP FOR BANDAR KHOMEINI. GROUNDED ON REEF. PART OF CREW WERE PICKED UP BY PASSING VESSEL. REMAINDER LEFT SHIP 2 DAYS LATER AFTER FIRE BROKE OUT. (MSD).
