BUILT IN 1969 BY SANOUASU DOCKYARD CO LTD, OSAKA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY PIPER SHIPPING CO LTD. PASSAGE MARIUPOL, UKRAINE FOR CHITTAGONG. REPORTED TO HAVE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN HEAVY SHOCK WHILE ON PASSAGE AND SUBSEQUENTLY HAD INGRESS OF WATER INTO NO1 HOLD AND THE FOREPEAK TANK. PUMPS COULD NOT COPE. WAS ABANDONED BY CREW AND SANK NEXT DAY.
