SINKING & ABANDONED IN APPROX 24M E OF FARSI IS (2800N, 5020E) ON 5 DEC 1974. IT WAS ABANDONED E OF FARSI IS WHICH LIES MIDWAY BETWEEN BAHRAIN & KHARG IS. (LLOYDS 218). SEARCH FOR SURVIVORS CONTINUED, DESPITE OFFICIAL SEARCH BEING CALLED OFF 2 DAYS EARLIER, AFTER REPORT THAT 2 SURVIVORS HAD BEEN PICKED UP. EXACT CAUSE OF SINKING NOT YET KNOWN. REPORTS OF BAD WEATHER.
