BUILT IN 1948 BY BY ERIKSBERGS M/V A/B, GOTHENBURG (AFT SECTION), 1950 (FORWARD AND CARGO SECTIONS) ERIKSBERGS, GOTHENBURG. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY KEN HIENG NAVIGATION (PANAMA), CORPORATION, S.A. PASSAGE VISAKHAPATNAM FOR JAPAN. SANK WHEN SIDE PLATING GAVE WAY DUE TO BAD WEATHER, NEAR ANDAMAN ISLANDS. ALL 33 CREW WERE SAFELY RESCUED. (MSD)
