WAS ALLEGED TO HAVE BEEN CAUSE OF M FERRY WILCON VI GROUNDING WHEN BUOY MARKING WK MOVED FROM STATION. (LL 10.6.88). H4805/87 22.9.88 STRUCK BY MV ABOITIZ SUPERCONCARRIER I WHEN LEAVING PIER 16, MANILA NORTH HARBOUR ON 30.7.88. (LL 5.8.88 & 10.9.88). 22.9.88 FOLLOWING INITIAL FIRE VESSEL WAS TOWED TO MANILA NORTH HARBOUR IN POSN 143703N, 1205606E, WHERE SHE SANK. INITIAL REFLOATING OPS WERE UNSUCCESSFUL AND FURTHER EFFORTS CURRENTLY IN HAND. VESSEL SHOULD BE SALVAGED BY END OF SEPTEMBER. (LLOYDS, TELECON). H4805/87 27.1.89 SALVORS ADVISE ONLY 80 TO 100 TONS WKGE REMAIN SUBMERGED AND THIS WILL BE CLEARED FROM AREA WITHIN ONE WEEK. NO NAVIGATIONAL HAZARD WILL REMAIN. (LL 11.1.89).
