ATTACKED BY IRANIAN GUNBOATS ON 6.12.87. ROCKET-PROPELLED GRENADES STARTED A FIRE WHICH RAPIDLY SPREAD & BURNED FOR THREE DAYS. VESSEL EVENTUALLY BROKE IN TWO & SANK. (MSD).
