H1310/88 10.6.88 WK APPEARS TO BE THAT OF A GERMAN 'SPERRBRECHER' (MINE-SWEEPER). LIES WITH 45DEG LIST TO PORT AND HEADING W. 50MM FRENCH AMMUNITION, MARKED 19 35, HAS BEEN FOUND ON DECKING. BELL, MARKED 'ELLALINE - 1906 - CARDIFF', RECOVERED NEAR THE WINCH, BUT THIS IS THOUGHT TO HAVE NO BEARING ON IDENTITY OF THE WK. LEAST DEPTH IS ABOUT 7MTRS AND THERE IS A DEEP SCOUR [16.5MTRS] NEAR THE BOW. (D TERMOTE, 15.5.88). H1310/88 12.9.88 AFTER FURTHER EXAMINATION IN GOOD VISIBILITY EARLY IN AUGUST, THOUGHT PROBABLY TO BE WK OF SPERRBRECKER NO. 141 (EX MV LIES). (D TERMOTE, 12.8.88). DETAILED DESCRIPTION GIVEN.
