BUILT 1931BY NEW YORK S.B. CO., WITH TURBINE ENGINES. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY TURKISH GOVERNMENT. GREEK TANKER WORLD HARMONY IN BALLAST, COLLIDED WITH THE YUGOSLAV TANKER PETAR ZORANIC, LOADED WITH BENZINE & PETROL. BOTH VESSELS CAUGHT FIRE AND DRIFTED ON TO THE TARSUS ANCHORED NEAR ISTINYE. ALL 3 SHIPS WERE EVENTUALLY DESTROYED BY FIRE, WITH TOTAL LOSS OF 52 LIVES. (DODS)
