VESSEL WAS SET ON FIRE BY SUBMARINE GUNFIRE & ABANDONED. SHE WAS TAKEN IN TOW TO VIGO & SEIZED BY SPANISH AUTHORITIES. TOWED TO BILBAO, REPAIRED & RELAUNCHED AS GERONA ON 7.10.1940. (LL WW2)
